Our Concept

Our pitch story in a clear, structured overview.

Who we are?

  • BSU: 30+ years old
  • First online stock market game in Switzerland
  • 2025 → 800 participants

The problem

  • University → only theory
  • Not enough case studies on what makes great companies win
  • No project-based experiences (events, team management)

Current solution

  • Thrown into the real world without practice
  • Learning only on the job is not ideal

What if instead...?

  • Real-world live analysis of companies
  • Real portfolio (CHF 10,000) → real consequences
  • Historically proven framework (value investing)
  • Community of passionate portfolio managers

What’s the dream?

  • Real-world experience before actually working
  • 100+ applicants per year
  • Events with investors
  • Highly selective stock picking

Is this going to work?

  • Investment Society Lausanne already proved the model with Swissquote
  • Managed by BSU
  • All profits stay in the fund and within BSU ownership

What’s the structure?

  • 6 meetings at semester start, 2 groups pitch 1 stock
  • Students split into groups with one team leader
  • Each group researches one company and pitches it
  • Ideas can come from VIC (Value Investors Club)
  • The CIO is responsible for final stock picks

What bigger trends are we part of?

  • Individual stock picking
  • Asset management
